This is a museum quality reproduction of an extremely rare WWII Colonel Insignia made by Luxenberg. One of the most desirable insignia makers. These are called War Eagles because the head of the eagle is facing the arrows. Official Colonel insignia the head of the eagle faces the olive branch. You are purchasing a set of two in the collar size. These are 1 inch wingspan Luxenberg uniform insignia, Colonel rank. This size is extremely rare since many officers chose to wear the the oversized collars that he had for sale. It should be noted that War Eagles were no longer authorized after 1926, yet many Colonels continued to wear them.
